"HOW did I turn so unproductive?" fear asked my soul.

Procrastinating with blitz chess. Surfing B.S. celebrity gossip. Relapsing on NoFap near-daily.

Reality humbled me further - till the truth dawned on me.

I'd grown cocky about my productivity and started slacking - on my "boring" but crucial daily habits.

Most specifically, I'd stopped bullet journaling - while I promoted my 2-minute paperback journal!

"Mentally" planning tasks was a poor excuse - and gave poor results.

Feeling like an imposter, I restarted bullet journaling - only for bullet journaling to restart my productivity!

I, myself, had forgotten how powerful the 2-minute habit I had been swearing by for so long was!

My rut jolted me back to bullet journaling's importance.

Bullet journaling is the most optimal way to structure your day, express gratitude, and gain mental clarity in record-low time.

I can say this with 200% conviction after my recent rut.

Bullet journaling looks deceptively simple - so we underestimate it. Even those who've journaled for years (like me) forget its power for the same reason.

But simple is powerful.

Exercising is simple. Eating healthy is simple. Sleeping is simple. Not lying is simple. Not drinking/smoking is simple - and they're all life-changing habits.

Unlike the above, bullet journaling is not only simple but also easy - taking only 2 minutes a day.

You don't "need" the 2-minute bullet journal to bullet journal. It's designed to be super-easy & fast, but there are other free methods (albeit slower & more tedious):

Bullet journal digitally with the free 2-minute Notion template.
Physically journal in a normal notebook, hand-copying the free 2-minute template.
Use a whiteboard to do the same as the previous point.
Journal on your phone's Notes app, copy-pasting the 2-minute template daily.

Whatever you do, bullet journal.

Don't get cocky, underestimate it and ruin your daily productivity (like I did).

Remember, "Simple is powerful. Boring is powerful. Unsexy is powerful."

The shiny, complex things/habits of the world are only distractions.
